European Association of Fishing Ports ands Auctions

  Created in 1998, the Association represents 135 European Auctions from 8 Member States of the European Union.

         Membership is open to all fishing ports and auctions within the EU and to regional or national representative groups.

  The association's role is to ensure recognition of auctions as an important branch of the fisheries sector and to coordinate initiatives in areas of common interest such as the promotion of free market mechanisms, traceability, high quality standards, the collection of official data and resource conservation.

Annual general meting open to all members on the basis of one vote per member.  Associates may attend, and speak, on issues but not vote on these, the determination of policy or election of the executive.
