The demands of legislation and need to produce efficient and effective processes within a European (Global) market make the development of common systems not only desirable but commercially essential.

Accordingly, it is the intention of EAFPA to establish standards to be used across auctions and, where possible, to provide basic procedures for use by members.

This is fundamental to the activities of the Association as a Trade Organisation and will provide tangible return to the membership and collateral benefit to our clients.

EAFPA also provides a forum whereby individual auctions, or auction groups, may develop strategic concepts either individually or jointly and draw upon the collective strengths.

However it is in establishing sound channels of communication with other international organisations within our industry, intellectual and physical, that EAFPA is most active.

For this purpose we engage professional lobbyists whose principal task is to interact with the Commission but also to establish dialogue with PO's, Processors, Retail and Consumer Groups etc.
